Mia ate blueberry waffle and pears for breakfast. For lunch she ate tuna and crackers, sweet potatoes, and oranges.
Mia was playing the 'chair game' again. This time it was with the couch; she was waiting at the couch and as I was headed over there she charges right up onto my spot. That used to be Emily's favorite thing to do when she was that age too. Mia was grinning and I think it's just a fun game for her.
I read lots of books to the kids before breakfast and Mia sat on my lap for several books. Several times she would look up at me and lay her head on my chest. It was so sweet. Lauralea was enjoying watching her do that too.
She was walking across the room and maneuvering around some toys. Then she started walking sideways. I think she was just experimenting with what she could do. It was pretty good. I was thinking how much she has developed with her walking in a very short time. Wow!
She played with the legos and building blocks in the back room. She's stacking them on top of each other even though she doesn't 'fit' them together yet. She has the basic idea of what to do by watching the others play with them.
She was shaking the maracas again and then dropped one on the hardwood floor. "Whooooaaaaa! What a cool sound! I like that!!" So she throws one down hard! :) We basically use the same words as when they are being too rough with their friends. (Like just a few minutes earlier when Joslyn was bent over in front of her. She didn't resist grabbing that ponytail.) "Be Gentle. Put the toy down gentle." And she is starting to listen very well. Good job Mia.
